Logos 9 Immanuel Bible Church Offering Slides and Notes
The graphic above (Slide #3) is my structured view of Logos and a progressive way to capture the details of the Logos Software Package for individual and professional use. This includes stepping into increased capabilities associated with features and resources. Even at the basic study level, introductory features and a basic set of resources are enough to allow you both desktop and web app capabilities. I receommend teaching new users in a graduated level that includes three areas involving: basic functionality, essential elements and cool features. When I teach Logos, I will continually reinforce the basic functionality in all sessions and recommend people get familiar with the 90 minutes of QUICKSTART videos available with each package, augmented with short Logos training videos (blue box videos) and other sources. I am also an annual subscriber to MPSEMINARS and find that paid resource invaluable for someone who seeks to master this software for deep personal study, group teaching or seminary. Many of these videos are noted below.
In Person Handouts
The three links directly below (for either ppt or pdf handouts) are versions of the training sheets I used for training sessions held over three weeks at Immanuel Bible Church that included links and notes for in person sessions.

Logos Quick Demos and Testimonials (more at the end of the page as well)
Quick Demo - Soul FireI like Jason's very pragmatic view of Logos and a very quick demo of what he likes. I took exception on his page to his comment that it is for full time ministry. Matching commitment to investment is the key and he has been very judicial in taking advantage of the periodic free offerings.

FAST Logos demo @ ~10:00This is a nice, quick orientation of Logos from a national presenter on the Soteriology 101 Site. Greg Monette covers a range of issues (starting around 10:00) to summarize capabilities and quickly demonstrate the power of Logos features.
|
Professor's Logos TestimonyMike Licona provides a nice narrative summary for using Logos as an efficient tool for study and research.

Other YouTube Channels I Find Helpful
(theology of the channel is not critically reviewed and endorsed)
Pastor Tanner |
Alan Parr |
Darryl Burling |
I find this pastor does a nice job discussing the use of Logos and reviewing much of the details and libraries associated with Logos 9/10. I have not delved into his theology, but he's very proficient and articulate on Logos.
|
This 2+ hour video is a duel of Logos features between a national presenter and Alan. They don't walk through the details of use, but it is an innovative introduction.
|
Darryl's focus is on using Logos with the original languages. In the video below, he shows how we uses Logos, talking through how to get started quickly and sharing some quick tips.
