Week 2

Week 2 – Getting started with basic Bible study using Logos 8 Software (Kirk will use his Logos – Starter package version for the demonstration)
  • July 12/July 14
  • The DRAFT slides are available for download above
  • Geared as a basic and introduction session to set up for people new to Logos.  We will review functionality and key items we discussed in week 1 and then take the needed steps to set up your prioritized resources.  We will then walk through some of the basic layouts, guides, workflows and functions.
  • Emphasis will be building on Basic functionality and Essential things to know. 
  • Before the session, participants are asked to work with Logos and download, install with the help of the Logos sales/technical staff (initial install and indexing could take some time).
  • As I mentioned in week one, older computers will be challenged with the advanced indexing features that push older hard drives and delays in response.  With older computers, the use of the app.logo.com account for the web version may be helpful, but the web version will have limited functionality compared to the PC (mac or windows). 
  • If you have time, I recommend people watch the “quickstart” video that is provided with the software and provides a 90 minute review of key functionality.
